This site does two things: it runs a financing calculator in your browser, and it sends quote requests to financing partners. Here is what that means for your information, in plain English.
What the calculator collects: nothing
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Equipment prices, credit tiers, down payments, operating costs: all of it stays on your device. We do not store your calculator inputs on our servers, and we cannot see the numbers you run.
What the VIN decoder does
If you paste a VIN into the calculator, your browser sends that VIN directly to the free vehicle database run by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a US government agency, at vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov. NHTSA returns the year, make, and model. We do not store your VIN, and the request goes from your browser to NHTSA, not through us. NHTSA has its own privacy policy for that service.
What the quote form collects
When you submit the quote form, we collect what you type into it:
- Full name and email address (required)
- Phone number (optional)
- Equipment type and estimated equipment price
- Your self-reported credit tier
- Anything you add in the notes field
What we share, and why
This site exists to connect buyers with lenders. When you submit the quote form, the details you provide are shared with financing partners so they can contact you about your request. That is the whole point of the form, and it is the only reason we collect it. We do not sell your information to data brokers, marketers, or anyone else. Financing partners may contact you by phone or email about your quote request.
Cookies and advertising
Today this site sets no advertising cookies and runs no ad trackers. If that ever changes, for example if we add analytics or ad measurement, we will update this page before it happens and say exactly what is being collected.
How long we keep it
Quote request details are kept as long as needed to connect you with financing partners and to handle any follow-up about your request. Ask us to delete your information and we will.
Your choices
You can use the calculator forever without telling us who you are. If you submitted a quote request and want a copy of what we have, want it corrected, or want it deleted, email privacy@fleetfundingcalculator.com and we will take care of it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No website can promise perfect security, so please do not put anything in the notes field that you would not want a financing partner to read.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect. Big changes get a notice on the site, not just a quiet edit.
